Chapter 1. General Rules
The association establishes and operates an Editorial Committee. The Editorial Committee determines the review and publication of papers submitted to the academic journal. The Vice-Chairman in charge of editing concurrently serves as the Chairperson of the Editorial Committee. Separate rules shall be established regarding the composition, functions, and operations of the Editorial Committee.
Chapter 2. Bylaws of the Editorial Committee
Article 1: The Editorial Committee shall consist of approximately 20 domestic editors and a few international editors, considering their expertise in the field, national representation, and international representation.
Article 2: The Editor-in-Chief concurrently serves as Vice President for Editing and holds office for the same term as the Vice President.
Article 3: The Editing Secretary and Committee members shall be appointed by recommendation of the Society President from among standing directors or members, subject to approval by the Expanded Board of Directors, and serve for the same term as the Society's officers.
Article 4: Editors shall be selected based on the following criteria:
Considering the major fields of study: Selecting experts from various fields to review submitted papers by specialized area.
Considering national and international representation: Selecting experts evenly from domestic and foreign regions to enhance the vitality of English education and facilitate smooth information exchange.
Considering educational levels: Selecting experts in English education from elementary, secondary, and tertiary levels.
Chapter 3: Functions
Article 1: The Editorial Committee shall establish and regulate the journal "English Language & Literature Teaching," including its structure, publication frequency, volume, paper review criteria and procedures, and submission regulations.
Article 2: The Editor-in-Chief shall appoint and commission referees for papers submitted to the Society, and the Editorial Committee shall make final decisions on the publication of papers based on the review results.
Article 3: All matters decided by the Editorial Committee other than paper publication reviews shall take effect upon approval by the Board of Directors.
Chapter 4: Meetings
Article 1: Editorial meetings shall be convened regularly to coincide with the publication schedule of the journal.
Article 2: Decisions at editorial meetings shall be made by a majority vote of the attending members.
Chapter 5: Paper Review Criteria
Article 1: Appropriateness of content: Papers must address criticism, experimental analysis, new proposals related to theory and practice in English education. They should implicitly include content related to English linguistics, language studies, English literature, and related disciplines.
Article 2: Creativity of content: Papers must contain new and innovative content not previously published in domestic or international academic journals.
Article 3: Appropriateness of format: Papers must adhere to the formatting regulations specified in this journal's submission guidelines.
Article 4: Appropriateness of structure and development: Papers must be structured and developed in a logical manner consistent with accepted academic norms in the field of English education.
Article 5: Appropriateness of research methodology: Papers must demonstrate suitable research problem identification, design, and analysis of results for each research method.
Article 6: Academic contribution: The content of papers should contribute to advancing and leading theory and practice in English education.
