Manuscript Review Timeframe
Manuscripts will be initially reviewed by the Editor within 2-3 weeks from submission. The Editor will contact the corresponding author with news of whether or not the submission will be advanced to the first round of blind reviews (or is being rejected as not suitable for publication in the journal).
1. Submission: Upon submission of a paper, the Editor-in-Chief immediately issues an "Acknowledgement of Receipt" to the author. However, papers that do not adhere to submission regulations or writing guidelines will not be accepted and will be returned. (Scheduled publication dates: March 30th / June 30th / September 30th / December 30th, four times annually)
2. Selection of Reviewers: The Editor-in-Chief categorizes submitted papers by field and selects reviewers accordingly. Reviewers consist of two members who are outstanding in their academic activities within the relevant field, as well as experts appointed outside the Editorial Committee if necessary.
3. Request for Review: After categorizing submitted papers by field, the Editor-in-Chief prepares a formal "Review Request" and sends it along with the papers to the selected reviewers. Each submitted paper is assigned to at least two reviewers, with the author's name and affiliation removed from the paper to ensure anonymity.
4. Review Process: Each reviewer evaluates the assigned paper and categorizes it into one of four grades: 'Accepted for publication,' 'Accepted pending revisions,' 'Revise and resubmit,' or 'Not accepted for publication.' Reviewers must provide specific justifications for their decisions, particularly when suggesting revisions, clearly indicating the sections that require modification.
5. Submission of Review Report: Reviewers notify the Editor-in-Chief of their overall assessment, decision, and any required revisions in a designated "Review Report." If revisions are suggested, reviewers also submit the original submission with their proposed edits marked. To protect the anonymity of reviewers, unique identifiers are used instead of their affiliations, positions, or names in the review report.
6. Editorial Committee Meeting: The Editor-in-Chief convenes an editorial committee meeting to review the assessment of papers. In cases where reviewers' decisions differ, final publication decisions are made through consensus at the editorial committee meeting. Papers accepted for publication ('Accepted for publication') must indicate the submission date and confirmation date at the end of the paper.
7. Notification of Review Results: The Editor-in-Chief sends the review report and the original paper with suggested revisions to the author. Papers categorized as 'Revise and resubmit' undergo further review after revisions are made and resubmitted.
8. Miscellaneous: If it is discovered that a paper accepted for publication or already published has been previously published in another academic journal or plagiarized without permission, the Editorial Committee may decide to cancel its publication and restrict paper submissions for a certain period.
